I have 50% in arts can I get admission in du ?

Prachi Kumari 17th Nov, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can still get admission in some DU courses with 50% in Arts.

  • For many BA courses, the basic eligibility is around 40–45% , so you meet that.

  • But getting a seat depends mainly on your CUET score , because DU now takes admissions through CUET.

  • With 50% in board exams, you can apply, but admission to top colleges or popular BA (Hons) courses may be difficult because their cutoffs are usually higher.

  • You may get chances in BA Programme or in colleges with lower cutoffs.

Hope it helps !

While filling JEE form it says to put fathers name according to 10th marksheet, but in my 10th marksheet only mothers name is given

Prachi Kumari 17th Nov, 2025

Hello,

If your 10th marksheet does not have your father’s name, then you don’t need to enter it from there.

Here is what you should do:

  • Use your father’s name as it appears in other official documents like Aadhaar, birth certificate, or school records (class 11/12).

  • The rule simply means: do not change the spelling or format of names that are already printed in official documents .

  • If the father’s name is not printed in the 10th marksheet, it is not a problem . Many boards only print the mother’s name.

You can safely enter your father’s name as per your other valid documents.

No issue will come in your JEE form because of this.

Hope it helps !

Hello... Im little bit confused that everyone saying after msc in biotechnology there is no job for freshers.... Should i choose bsc in biotechnology??? In india has it scope or not???

Prachi Kumari 17th Nov, 2025

Hello,

Biotechnology does have scope in India, but it is not a field where freshers get quick jobs without skills. Many people say there are no jobs after MSc Biotech because students depend only on degrees and do not focus on internships or lab skills. Jobs are available, but companies look for practical experience.

If you are interested in biology, research, and lab work, then you can choose BSc Biotechnology . It is a good field, and the scope is growing in areas like pharmaceuticals, vaccines, diagnostics, research labs, agriculture, food industry, and clinical research.

To build a good career, you must focus on internships, hands-on lab training, workshops, and good projects during your studies. With the right skills, you can get opportunities.

Hope it helps !
