This is the first year when JEE is out of 300 marks. As you might be knowing earlier it used to be a 360 marks paper. So out of 360 getting 180 marks used to give you an approximate rank of 8000-9000. So out of 300, if you score 180 there are chances that the rank will be close to 7000-8000. Having said this the cutoffs keep fluctuating every year as they depend on various factors like number of candidates appearing and also the paper level difficulty, etc. Also the results in your year will matter to decide the rank. So as of now focus on studying more and more and try your best in the exam.
