CLAT syllabus has been changed and to give you a gist of the changed syllabus, the no. of questions asked will be reduced from 200 to 120/125 but the time duration will be the same. If you pay attention to the smallest but most important things, you can easily score good marks.

English: There will be no more direct vocabulary questions. This section will have 40 questions and each carries 1 mark. This section will test your vocabulary and grammar. Reading newspapers on a regular basis will improve your word base and vocabulary.

GK: Static GK will be removed and only your knowledge on current affairs will be tested. This section consists of 50 questions and each question carries 1 mark. Questions will be asked from Current affairs and Static General Knowledge like History, Geography and Sciences. This is the most easiest section if you can read newspapers daily.

Mathematics: Only DI based questions. This section carries 20 marks and is based on Class 10th Mathematics. Constant practise of basic Mathematics is the key. You should practise quantitative aptitude questions like Percentages, Numbers and number systems, Time and work. Time Speed and Distance, Co-ordinate Geometry, Trigonometry and Probability

Logical Reasoning: More emphasis on critical reasoning questions. There will be 40 questions asked, each carrying 1 mark. The questions might include topics like Family tree, Syllogisms, Coding and Decoding, Arrangements and Critical Reasoning. Out of 40, you should atleast aim to answer 35 questions.

Legal Aptitude: No Legal GK questions but the reasoning questions will remain. This is the most important section. There will be 50 questions and each question will carry 1 mark. This section is divided into Legal Knowledge and Legal reasoning. Learn the most common legal terminologies and have a fair idea of whats happening in the legal world. Before you attempt questions, understand its meaning.
