Depending on the toughness of the paper the rank vs mark pattern varies. For 80 marks , you can easily get into an IIT seat. But the rank will be around 2500-3000 for such marks in SC rank. The cut-off of JEE Advanced is the minimum qualifying marks the student needs to secure to be included in the rank list. Students must score the minimum aggregate qualifying marks and qualifying marks in each Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. JEE Advanced cut-off will be prepared by respective IIT colleges at the time of counselling conducted by JoSAA. The cut-off marks for admission will be in the form of opening ranks & closing ranks. Every college will publish its separate cut-off ranks for each course. The JEE Advanced cut-off marks and cut-offs for qualifying are different for each category.
Sorry to say but 80 marks is not good enough to crack the paper of jee advance for sc/st/obc category students and if she belong to general then don't even think about it. All you can do is get her motivated and prepare for the next year or take admission in other state government colleges.

Dear aspirant,

Depending on the toughness of the paper the rank vs mark pattern varies. For 80 marks , you can easily get into an IIT seat. But the rank will be around 2500-3000 for such marks in SC rank. It can vary as well. But you will most definitely get a seat in some IIT with that mark.

Hope this helps and all the best!
