Hope your preparations are going well. In order to get a 90 percentile you will have to achieve a scaled score of 105 and that is achievable by 37 attempts with an accuracy rate of 85%. This is strictly according to CAT 2017 data. As the difficulty level of questions may vary so will the number of attempts in order to get 90 percentile. Let me also tell you that last year the students who scored 55 percentile and less actually scored in negative. So it is not that difficult to get 90 percentile if you work hard.

Well,this depends on several factors since here percentile is involved.However,considering an average of the last few years,a score somewhere around 130-140 out of 300 will get you more than 90 percentile. However,since this can change and the need can go up anytime,it is advised to score the maximum you can in order to get a good percentile.
