JEE Main and JEE Advanced are two different exams on two different levels.
For candidates who will qualify in JEE Main will get admission in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and other private institutes. However, for candidates who will qualify in JEE Main with ranks upto 2,24,000 will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced and will get admission in IITs if they qualify in the exam.
So, to get admission in IITs, you need to qualify both JEE Main (with ranks upto 2,24,000) and JEE Advanced.

In order to take admission in IITs you have to qualify JEE Main exam first then you will be eligible for JEE Advanced.
Through JEE Main you can take admission in NITs/IIITs and CFTIs.
You should have 75% marks in your board exam or you should be in top 20 percentile to get eligible for IITs/NITs/IIITs and CFTIs.
For SC/ST you should have 65% marks.
