The Degree in Medical Lab Technology is a three years course where professionals are taught about various aspects of health care. During the course of study, students perform various diagnostic analysis on body fluids, which include hematological, bacteriological, immunologic, chemical and microscopic.

On completion of the course, a Medical Laboratory Technologist is able to provide accurate laboratory results in a timely manner as well as safeguard experimental controls, calibrate laboratory instruments, undertake delta checks (including monitoring of significant changes within a normal series of results), and ensure accuracy.
