Hello dear aspirant, greetings to you. I would like to tell you that in order to get a job in government section after engineering, one has to appear for GATE ( Graduate Aptitute Test for Engineering) examination. If you are not interested for giving any examination, then I would suggest you to appear for your campus placement in order to get  job. If you are interested in learning the basics of Non-Medical stream, then you should definetly fo for BSc.
