Radiography is the art and science of using radiation to provide images of the tissues, organs, bones, and vessels that comprise the human body and the answer to your question is that doing internships is optional but personally I'll prefer you to do internships by which you'll get more experience and by which you'll have a better chance of high paying job and top of that if you get a job without internship that is also totally fine.
