The Admission and selection criteria are different from college to college.

Majority of colleges call students as per qualifying cutoff for further rounds like:-

Group Discussion
Personal interview
Case study
Extempore
Statement of Purpose

After all above rounds are compleed, cumulative score is calculated on basis of MAT score, Background academic, Work experience, and scores from any of above rounds to decide final rankings.

Upon final ranks, students are called for Admission Counseling.
