As per the reviews of students of VIT, interaction of boys and girls in VIT is strongly discouraged. Even during the parties, fests or cultural events if any opposite gender friends are seen together then it is dicouraged in a very bad way. And for girls, the in time for hostel is 8 pm in week days and 6pm in weekends. And if you miss the attandence on any day then you will be charged around 300 INR every day.  You are also only allowed to leave the campus for three hours at most, that too after providing a satisfactory reason. And Vellore is a typical village, there is no life outside, neither a good theatre nor a good mall.
