see both of the institute you have mentioned is excellent in terms of course curriculum, college infrastructure, faculty students ratio, placement records  and so on. however you did not mention which of the stream you want to study,. According to streams like cse, ece, ee, mechanical, civil like popular stream I would prefer VIT vellore over Amrita vishavidyapiatham, In case you can not secure any of the stream at which has mentioned at vit vellore, then it would be best to apply for amrita vishavidyapitham.
