Dear Amritha,

The merit list of the candidates will be prepared based on the marks scored by the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in KCET 2018 along with the marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination in the ration of 50:50.

Ranks will be assigned only to those candidates who will be eligible as per the norms prescribed by the conducting body.

Yes,definitely board marks do play a role in deciding your KCET rank and I don't know the quantum of it's weightage whilst calculating rank. As we know the process is opaque when it comes to internal administration of the organisation and the percentage of weightage considered to decide your rank is yet to be made public. To the best of my knowledge,I know many who scored good ranks just because of their exceptional performance in the board exam.This implies the board marks would play significant role in deciding your rank.
