The placements are pretty decent. Do not expect some extraordinary job offers. Your branch of study decided your package. M.Tech has as decent placement opportunities as B.Tech but the pay is quite comparable. VIT does bring companies for placements but it’s completely in your hands whether you are getting placed or not. The pay may not be handsome but yes you have good opportunities in landing up in core company!
