The NCERT Class 6 English textbook Poorvi for the 2026 session has a total of 16 chapters, divided into 5 units:

Unit 1 (Fables and Folk Tales): 3 chapters

Unit 2 (Friendship): 3 chapters

Unit 3 (Nurturing Nature): 3 chapters

Unit 4 (Sports and Wellness): 3 chapters

Unit 5 (Culture and Tradition): 4 chapters
