You haven't mentioned the name of the college that you are asking about.

However, in almost all colleges there are separate hostels for girls and boys. Usually there are no separate hostels for different year students, they are allotted rooms in the same hostels but mostly it happens that the the same year students are allotted the same room.

The gender ratio in most medical colleges is such that there are more girls compared to boys but there are a few colleges where the ratio is almost 50:50.
