Hello. As per my research,  stethoscope are used by all doctors. So for dentists, it is required to record the blood pressure, surgery rotations , for oral surgery used to record blood pressure before tooth extractions and finally to palpate the temporomandibular joint while examining head and neck.

So basically it's the first year where you start using stethoscope and keep it in daily use from there on.
