You should choose a course based on the following -

  • Your field/subject of interest
  • Your choice of subjects in Class 10 and 12 (Science/Commerce/Arts etc)
  • Scope of that course in the country where you want to settle in future
  • How much salary you need

There are a wide variety of courses you can choose from (other than just Medicine and Engineering) after Class 12th. To see the list of courses available after Class 12, you can visit the link - 60+ Courses after 12th 2022 - Arts, Commerce & Science Students (careers360.com)
