Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) located in Ranchi, Jharkhand provides UG and PG level programmes in Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry and Forestry courses. BAU Ranchi offers B.Sc (Hons.) course in Agricultural and Forestry programmes with various specializations. The university also provides Honours courses in Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry.

Aspirants who have science background with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) can apply for any of the major subject from Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry and Forestry, while aspirants with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) can apply for the agriculture and forestry courses only. The university has a total of 50 seats for B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture.

Admission in 15% of the total seats are done according to the Combined Competitive Entrance Examination, an all India level exam which is administered by I.C.A.R. V.C.I.. Admission in the remaining 85% of the total seats are done according to Jharkhand Combined Competitive Entrance Examination Board, Ranchi.
