Hello!

Both BSc and BCA are equally important streams. However, what you must consider is the profile of working.

BSc in math is about pure mathematics (You will study 2 other subjects along in BSc). It is not technology oriented, but rather driven by mathematical research. After graduating you can pursue PG in various fields of math such as applied mathematics, statistics, computational mathematics etc. The job opportunities includes teaching, employment opportunuties in banking and finance sectors, insurance companies, finance analyst in private organizations.

BCA course is more oriented towards technology. You can do MCA after BCA or work in IT industry. There is always a requirement for Software field for skilled engineers and they hire not just B.E or B.Tech, but also BCA students. You can apply for companies depending on your interest in CS field. You can give competitive exams, civil service exams, bank exams. Teaching is another good choice too.

Now whether BSc or BCA is your choice. If you want to go in research line, then B.Sc is a better option. If you are looking for a placement oriented course then BCA is better.
