Hello,

To appear in UPSC you just need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized University, there is no such restrictions of belonging to specific stream, now BHU is one of a reputed university in India, and pursuing BA Hons you will study subjects that will help you in UPSC preparation as in the syllabus of bachelor of arts has considerable overlap with the syllabus of general studies and optional subject, hence it will aid you in your preparation but you must remember that just passing out from a reputed university doesn't guarantee you will succeed in UPSC, as this exam is highly compeitive it requires proper plan and strategy in order to qualify the same, moreover much more than your degree or college it your planning, strategy, single minded focus, dedication and perseverance that will sail you through this tough exam.
