Hello,
In 2019 the selection process in HPCL and BPCL through GATE 2019 was based on merit in GATE score, group discussion or group task, personal interview and medical. Candidates need to clear every stage if they fail during any stage of selection process they will be terminated.So group discussion is an elimination round candidates who perform well will be shortlisted for further stage of selection process. This year the selection process may remain the same.Check the details when the notification is released for this year.
