For BTech Biotechnology courses most of the colleges takes admission through the same entrances as for other fields of engineering. Thus to be eligible for those entrances you need to have Mathematics as a subject in 10+2.

Although there are some colleges in India which don't care about such norms and most of them are autonomous colleges or deemed to be univeristy. The colleges are:

• SRM chennai
• BITS pilani
• Manipal institute of technology

Now if you go for Bsc Biotechnology then you will not find any problem to get an admission in the colleges. But as I always suggest if you want to work in industries then BTech Biotechnology is a field which offers more exposure. If you want to go for research and more on the fundamental parts of the subject then go for BSc Biotechnology.
