Calcutta University ranking is 5th among universities and an overall Calcutta University ranking in India is 12th under the NIRF rankings of 2019. It was internationally Calcutta University world ranking is 68th by QS BRICS in 2019.

The university offers a total of 927 courses in branches of Accounting and Commerce, Animation, Arts (Fine / Visual / Performing), Banking, Finance and Insurance, Business and Management Studies, Design, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, IT and Software, Law, Mass Communication and Media, Medicine and Health Sciences, Nursing, Science, Teaching and Education etc.

f you get 50% marks in 10+2 board exam you are eligible for applying Physics Honors in Calcutta University.

But different Colleges announce different cut offs based on marks of Physics and Mathematics. If you secure above 85% then you have more chances to get selected.
