hello subhash!!

students studying mbbs in amfc need not always go into army only.they can start a clinic or do further ms degree but subject to conditions and bond terms.

If you pay the bond amount of 28 lakhs(or such amount mentioned during the bond) and leave after completing your MBBS, you have to do your internship from a civilian medical college and you can also prepare and appear for your PG immediately.

If you opt for permanent commission (PC) in the armed forces after completing your MBBS, you are eligible to do your PG after 4 years.

If you opt for short service commission (SSC) of 7 years, you are eligible to apply for PG only after you complete 7 years.

During the bond period you will be working as a doctor at either a command hospital or a military hospital anywhere in India.

hope this helps you

all the very best

thank you
