Candidates meet PUBDET 2018 eligibility criteria if they fulfill the below mentioned requirements:

Are citizens of India.Have cleared their Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) system such that it is conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or an equivalent exam not before 2017.
Have cleared Higher Secondary Examination conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or an equivalent exam with at least five recognised subjects (full marks not less than 100), including English language.

Candidates with International A level or International Baccalaureate qualifications should have studied at least three subjects at the IGCSE level and three subjects at the A level are required, with English in either of the two levels.
