• passed 10+2  with English and securing 40% marks in any stream from a recognized in any stream, though science is mostly preferred
• passed 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE or its equivalent recognized by Nursing Council securing 40% marks
• passed 10+2 in arts/science/health care science- vocational stream only by NIOS with 40% marks
• registered as ANM with state nursing registration council
