Diploma holders can apply for JEE Main to be eligible only for JEE Advance, They can not use JEE Main score for the admission in NITs or other colleges, They will be eligible to take admission in IITs only for B.tech in the first year through JEE Advance.

If you wish to appear for JEE Main in 2020, then you should have passed class 12 or any other equivalent qualifying test in 2018 or 2019. If you are appearing for class 12 exams in 2019 then also you can apply.

Diploma students who have completed their degree, or are in the final year of doing so, are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2020, but will not be given admission to NITs and CFTIs.If they qualify JEE Main, they will have to appear for JEE Advanced, and they will be given admission like class 12th pass students.No lateral entry.
