Dear Abhishek,

SSP scholarship is a state-funded programme applicable to the domiciles of Karnataka from class I to those pursuing a post-doctoral degree. Several subsidiary departments under the state government provide different SSP scholarship schemes to students from various economic backgrounds studying pre-matric and post-matric levels. If you haven't yet applied to this programme of scholarship in your first year of engineering, well yeah you still have a chance to apply for the scholarship in your 2nd year provided that you meet with all the required criteria. Hope this helps to clear your doubt.
