Though BHMS stands for Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery , you can not become a surgeon after the UG degree . Even the MBBS degree holders are not allowed.

You need to do Masters in Surgery which is a 3 years course after BHMS to become a surgeon .

The course BHMS allows some surgeries which department of Ayurveda ,govt.of India allows.

You can practice for few years for getting experience as well.
