The candidates whose family has a gross annual income below Rs 8 lakh (Rupees eight lakh only) is to be identified as EWS for the benefit of reservation. 

If you had decleared your category as GEN-EWS during JEE (Main) 2019 registration then A valid GEN-EWS certificate as per the prescribed format, given in the JEE (Advanced)-2019 website, issued on or after 01-April-2019, were needed to upload for availing the benefits of GEN-EWS category.
