Hello Aspirant,

If you want to become an ias officer then first of all you have to see the syllabus of upsc exam.

This exam is divided into three stages

  1. Prelims exam
  2. Mains exam
  3. Interview.

There is no requirement that says you must have a BA or BSc to be eligible for this exam. It is irrelevant if you have a stream. However, there are several pertinent topics covered in a BA programme that will aid in your understanding.

The social sciences that you studied for your BA were mostly tested on this exam, including history, geography, political science, and economics.

The only thing is that if you have perseverance, hard work, consistency with your goal, and seriousness about what you're doing, no one can stop you from passing this exam. Otherwise, students from all academic backgrounds, including those in science, commerce, and engineering, are selected.

Good luck.
