You first preference after IIMs along with Other Reputed NIRF Top 20 Management Institutes, must be Management Schools of Old IITs. Not oy do they have an excellent ROI, perhaps provide excellent management education as well as have strong placements with Median Package being anywhere between 13-18 LPA for BSchools like VGSOM IIT KGP, SJSOM IITB, DMS IIT Delhi, IITR and IIT Madras.

After IITs, you may prefer some of the Good NITs like Trichy and Allahabad as well as consider other Good Private B Schools in NIRF Top 50 List, as they have a much better employer outlook, placements and faculty than NITs as far as Management is concerned.

Yes , you can definitely do mba from iit or nit. But if you would consider my views on this then kindly prefer not to do mba from nit because mba programme is not at all worth it as it has very poor placements. Whereas in IITs like iit Bombay, Kharagpur, delhi , roorkee these IITs have strong placements in its mba programme too. Through cat exam you can join any of these institutes.

So you should choose IITs.

Yes of course you can do MBA from IITs or NITs but note that only some NITs or IITs offer MBA programs like IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, NIT Allahabad, NIT Trichy and likewise. For admission to MBA courses offered by such IITs and NITs you have to appear for MBA entrance examination named as Common Admission Test in short CAT. Only the candidates who have completed graduation with 50% of marks are eligible to apply for CAT. It is conducted by any of the IIM in rotation every year in a computer-based exam for MBA/PGDM admissions at 20 IIMs and 1000+ B-Schools in India.
