For CAT and IAS examination, the pattern and level of examination is quite different, however the basic Aptitude test of IAS in Preliminary Examination will surely help you out in your CAT examination in Aptitude section only
First you must decide, Which Examination you are preparing for and when you are planning to appear in the examination, accordingly, you will strategise your level of preparations
My suggestion for you is to go for IAS examination, as this is an examination which is being globally accamlaimed for its toughest level, its preparation will surely open wide variety of choices for you like State Level Combined Competitive Examination & other State Level service selection board examination.
