The minimum eligibility criteria to go into OCLD is having a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management from any recognised institution.

A degree in hotel management and culinary arts may be thought as very similar but each has it's own scope and benefits. Culinary arts is a very specific course concentrating on food production but hotel management is about managing & knowing the functioning of the entire hotel properly so OCLD demands a hotel management degree.
