You cannot get M.Tech in older IITs, but I think you will get interview calls from the newer IITs. You can even apply for M.S and Ph.D programs in IIT if you are interested in pursuing a research career.

There are some institutes like NITIE and some CSIR labs which work on Mechanical Engineering and it allied branches. You can try for them as well.
