Hi, up till last year DU offered 5% quota to 5 of 7 the segments-

  • defence personnel killed or disabled in action
  • those you died in peace time with death attributable to military service
  • those disabled in peace time during military service
  • recipients of gallantry awards

The DU standing committee for admissions has decided to update the category of children/widows of armed forces personnel from this year by including two more segments-

  • retired defence personnel
  • serving defence personnel

Regarding your admissions, you will get only 5% quota if you apply for armed quota and your admission depends on the cut off of your desired course. If there's an entrance test for the particular course you have applied for then your performance in that test will also considered.

Good luck
