Dear RISHV, last year score of 353 secured seat in govt medical college under STATE QUOTA in SC category. At 444 you can get any govt college under STATE QUOTA.

Here's the cut off for different colleges -

• Government Medical College, Amritsar-363
  
• Government Medical College, Patiala-366
• Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot-353

Also since the exam was bit easy this year so the cut offs are expected to increase. 

Still with increase in cut off you can get GOVT medical college.

2. Government Medical College, Patiala ( Closing Rank : 105722 )
3. Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot ( Closing Rank : 118568 )

Thus, from this aspect it seems that you are going to have a good chance of making it through friend.
