yes, you can join IIT after diploma in CSE. but still, process of getting into iit is same. you need a valid jee advanced score to get into iit. speaking of the worth. CS at IIT is absolutely great. You can definitely shoot your shot for iit with you diploma and jee advanced (eligible) score.
