NET is only compulsory for teaching in college, when it comes to teaching in school you can become post graduate teacher if you have passed MSc in the relevant subject securing 50% aggregate, and possess BEd degree, also if you're applying for school like KVS then proficiency in teaching in English and Hindi is required.
