There are some protocols that is needed to be followed during the exam in allotted exam center, for any competitive or entrance exam.

In case of SRMJEE, in your Hall Ticket/Admit card.. there must be some guidelines where it must be written whether the rough sheet will be provided from center/ rough sheet is available to use or not/ to bring own rough paper and pen etc.

Basically, several Entrance exam allows a student to us the rough paper. Now , it's entirely depends upon the Exam authority board and their guidelines.
