NIOS is a educational board just like CBSE or any other board. It is run by HRD ministry, Govt of India. A candidate having NIOS certificate can appear in any national level exam like CLAT, JEE and NEET also with AIIMS or JIPMER.

If you want to give, then prepare for it and give it next year.

Greetings!
Yes,NIOS students are eligible for NEET. NTA  has  allowed NIOS and all other recognized open school candidates to apply and appear in NEET 2019 and all consequent NEETexams.
Same is the case with Aiims and  jipmer.
In these exams , Nios students are allowed as well.
