Hi there,

Yes NRI sponsored seats are open to Unreserved category candidates but the candidate should have blood relation with the sponsor and has to to furnish some documents for the same.

Copy of valid Indian passport of the sponsor.
Copy of visas obtained in last twelve months.
Certificate from the local embassy stating that the Sponsor is a NRI/ OCI or PIO Card holder.
An affidavit stating that sponsor is interested to invest in the education of the candidate for the next 5 years.
