In order to take admission in IITs you need to appear JEE Advance Entrance Exam after qualifying JEE Main Entrance Exam.

You can apply in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs on the basis of JEE Main Score. As per the eligibility to apply for IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs you should have minimum 75% in your class 12th as a General category & 65% as a reserved category or you should be in top 20 percentile in your 12th exam from the respective board.

No admission in iit is on the basis of jee advance . JEE mains is just a rejection process for students Kevin other words you can say selection process so focus on advance JEE mains is for taking admission in nits and many other government colleges which take admission in the basis of JEE mains score

No in order to take admission in IIT your score of JEE advance matters not of JEE mains . JEE mains is just a selection round for advance . Its score is a parameter for taking admission in different nit's and various government college and n which JEE mains is there eligibility criteria

No for getting into iit you need to score well in JEE advance JEE mains is just a selection round for giving that exam I think your query is clear now if you still have some doubt pls comment
