                 To take admission in the Engineering, you have to appear for JEE MAINS, through it's rank you can take admission in Top engineering colleges by ranking under 50k. Otherwise you also can take the state entrance exams or any other private colleges exams.

As you mentioned in the description, other than IIT'S, NIT'S & IIIT'S; there is many more colleges even better than lower IIT'S, NIT'S & IIIT'S.
