Jee mains & Advanced are two different exams. jee mains & advanced has their separate counseling, conducted by JOSAA..

Here, all ranks are given together of mains & advance.

From the official website, you have to choose separately cutoffs for NIT'S, IITS & etc etc..

Let us take a case study.Suppose student 'A' gets Rank No. 1 in Jee Mains but does not appear in JEE Adv. Later he joins CS at NITT.Another student 'B' gets Rank No. 2 in Jee Mains but gets Rank No. 1 in JEE Adv. Later he joins CS at ITTB.In the JOSSA opening and closing rank list who will appear at No. 1?Https://josaa.nic.in/result/result/openingclosingrank.aspx
