Check the continuity of the given circuit by using a multimeter

Hello,

Here is the steps:-

  1. turn dial to the continuity mode and check dial function which will be with one or more functions. It will be with resistance for most of the time.
  2. when the test probes are separated, multimeter display will show Ol or resistance symbol ohm character
  3. if you want , you can follow some steps to preserve the battery life of the equipment
  4. insert black test lead into COM jack  and then red one into Vohm jack when finished remove it in reverse order.
  5. in de-energized circuit, connect leads accross the component being tested. Position of the leads are arbitrary.
  6. Multimeter will beep if the complete path is covered and a close circuit is created. If the circuit is open then it won't beep.
  7. After completion, turn the equipment off to save battery life.
