Chromebook is not but just like is android smartphone, it will only helpful to attend online classes and join online community. But if you really want to learn some skills then like coding, Auto Cad and many other application like adobe platforms you really need a good processor laptop with minimum 8 gb ram, i5 or ryzen 5 processor. Rest is totally up to if you want notebook just online classes and web searching then go with the chromebook otherwise a good processor laptop.
