Aeronautical is a specialized course. If you choose Aeronautical, then you have to study hard. There are few companies in India which will hire you so you have to study accordingly keeping these factors in mind so that you remain above most of the students in your branch. On the other hand, if your do mechanical engineering from a good college, then there are huge chances of getting a government job if you do well in GATE exam. You may also study M.Tech and further specialize in your domain.

Aeronautical engineering is basically a specialised degree, focussed on niche category of industry, hence the scope is limited to these specific industries.Students opting for aeronautical, thus, should be focussed and determined, as after graduation it might be difficult to change the field. If any doubts, students should better opt general courses like Mechanical or Electronics engineering etc., and later can take up aeronautical for their Masters.

Good Luck!!
