Syllabus remains same for all branches in first year, you would have subjects from all streams to get good knowhow of every function and specialization.
Subjects in CS start from Second year onwards.

In 1st year of computer science branch and all other branches in engineering colleges have same syllabus.........basics of programming language  (c++,c) is taught in the 2nd semester of btech.......you can check syllabus from google.......hope you got it!
